This texture is a devious rather than Italic manner, a vulgar feature of almost all grotesque and neo-grotesque typeface. The notable features had originally been designed to include a high x-height, the terminus of strokes on horizontal or vertical lines, and unusually taut spacing betwixt letters combine to give it a thick firm appearance.
This typeface is one of the variants of the standard Helvetica font.
